Description: In South Africa, CCF Inc. was registered as a Section 21 Company in 1999. At the time, it offered limited financial support to the National Children and Violence Trust (NCVT), which works with children survivors of violence from around Witkoppen and Fourways, including the informal settlement areas of Diepsloot and Zevenfontein. NCVT deals with problems such as domestic violence, criminal violence, sexual violence, HIV/AIDS counselling and other related problems that affect children. CCF currently runs programmes in two South African provinces, namely: Gauteng (Diepsloot) and KwaZulu-Natal (KZ 292). The Diepsloot Program focuses mainly on (but is not limited to) poverty alleviation. The KZ 292 Program focuses mainly on the prevention and mitigation of HIV/AIDS for orphans and vulnerable children (OVC?’S), which includes the following projects:Health, Education and Social Relief for Orphans and Vulnerable Children, Home-based care and peer counselling.
