Description: Journ-AIDS is a project being undertaken by the Centre for AIDS Development, Research and Evaluation (CADRE) that supports media professionals to provide indepth, accurate and critical reporting on HIV/AIDS in South Africa. The project is based upon research undertaken by CADRE from 2000 to 2002 on media reporting on HIV/AIDS. The Journ-AIDS Programme aims to: Conduct research into media reporting and response on HIV/AIDS, Provide an information resource to media practitioners to allow for greater analytical and in-depth reporting on HIV/AIDS; Support the development of a culture of investigative journalism in working with both practicing journalists and schools of journalism; Develop the capacity of AIDS Service Organisations and people living with HIV/AIDS in working with the media.

Description: We are Joy for Life, a non profit community based organisation designed to represent, assist and co-ordinate the needs of persons living with and affected by HIV/AIDS through education and information. We operate a Day Care and Educational centre. Community Centre - Day home for HIV/AIDS clients and patients who are otherwise house bound or isolated. It is a home from home enviroment and provides a friendly safe haven.

Description: The doctor visits our clinic once a week. We are currently involved in a flourishing gardening project and we are also able to supply food to people that need it.The clinic provides primary health care to members of the community. We offer services for people affected and infected by HIV/AIDS, offering home based care, counselling, safer sex and AIDS awareness workshops.
