The project is based upon research undertaken by CADRE from 2000 to 2002 on media reporting on HIV/AIDS. The Journ-AIDS Programme aims to: Conduct research into media reporting and response on HIV/AIDS, Provide an information resource to media practitioners to allow for greater analytical and in-depth reporting on HIV/AIDS; Support the development of a culture of investigative journalism in working with both practicing journalists and schools of journalism; Develop the capacity of AIDS Service Organisations and people living with HIV/AIDS in working with the media.
