Description: SABC Education?•s School TV project provides compelling, relevant educational televprogrammes and related services for South African children both at home and at school. School TV multimedia project aims to provide supportive, high quality resources to primary schools for Grades R ? Grade 6. One of the areas is HIV/AIDS education programming: Healthy Me - healthy living; We Care and Red Ribbon and Takaklani Sesame deal mainly with dealing with HIV/AIDS. The project provides multilingual (English, Afrikaans, isizulu, Sesotho, Isixhosa, Setswana, Siswati, Xitsonga, Sepedi and South African Sign Language), multicultural, edutainment programmes; Free print resources posted annually to schools in South Africa; web and phone lines.

Description: Work began with an interest in & concern for children affected and impacted by HIV/AIDS. Through Thandanani Association we were linked to a group of women in a local community who were caring for children in their community - many orphaned or impacted by HIV/AIDS. These ladies established a day care centre primarily for orphans and vulnerable children of preschool age.
