The Women?’s Centre is giving a ray of hope to women who want to provide for their families. The women have a chance to learn a craft and sell their goods. Many women are the only carers for their dependents. Their optimism and creative ability is impressive and this project is an opportunity to give economic empowerment to the women of the Ingwavuma area. The Women?’s Centre had been built with funding from the Local Department of Economic Development. It is in this Centre that the Fancy Stitch Group works.
