Description: iThemba Lethu is a Christian organization that operates in Cator Manor in Durban. The vision of the organization is two fold: The first initiative is a transition home for AIDS abandoned and orphaned babies. The vision of the home is to see babies cared for, nurtured, and loved, and then placed into suitable families. We also have an HIV prevention programme that operates amongst adolescents teaching them their value and promoting a deep understanding of their self worth. This leads to wise decision making, and ultimately a decrease in HIV infections. The programme is supported by both parent and teacher education, along with an economic development project.
