·Helped to found the University of KwaZulu-Natal, Durban branch of TAC
·Organised a petition drive at UKZN (Durban) to call for the provision of a comprehensive package of AIDS care including anti-retroviral drugs. Over 600 signatories.
·Facilitated a training session on AIDS treatment issues for student leaders/activists identified through the petition drive.
·Presented ?‘Politics of AIDS Policy Formation in KwaZulu-Natal: A Social Actor Analysis?’ at TAC Annual Provincial Conference for KwaZulu-Natal
·TAC UND delegate to the National HIV/AIDS Treatment Congress.
