Pact's Community REACH team is pleased to announce the release of its fifth Request for Applications (RFA). Under this RFA, Pact anticipates awarding a total of $1.2 million to between five (5) and seven (7) cooperative agreements supporting positive prevention, care and support for People Living with HIV/AIDS (PLWHAs).
This Request for Applications (RFA) provides prospective local and community-based NGOs with a fair opportunity to submit applications for funding for their programs that address Positive Prevention, Care and Support for People Living with HIV/AIDS (PLWHAs). To be eligible, applicants must meet the following requirements: 1) Proposed project(s) must be implemented in one or more of the following eleven (11) President's Emergency Plan For AIDS Relief (PEPFAR) countries: Cote d'Ivoire, Ethiopia, Guyana, Haiti, Mozambique, Namibia, Nigeria, South Africa, Tanzania, Uganda and Zambia; 2) Primary applicants must be local, indigenous non-governmental organizations (NGOs) implementing local, national or regional HIV/AIDS activities.
To download the RFA, please refer to the Community REACH website at: www.pactworld.org/reach. The RFA advises the eligibility and qualifications of applicants, describes the program objectives, explains the technical area of focus, and provides the criteria for evaluating applications as well as the application format and other relevant information. The awards will be administered under the Pact Community REACH Program funded by USAID.
If you encounter troubles downloading the RFA, please contact the Community REACH team at [email protected] and a copy of the RFA will be sent to you.
It is anticipated that the review will be held in two rounds, the first being submission of a concept paper followed by invitations to selected applicants for full applications. Concept papers will be accepted until 12 August 2004. For additional information, contact the Community REACH team at [email protected].
Community REACH is a five-year, USAID-funded program designed to facilitate the efficient flow of grant funds to organizations playing valuable roles in the fight against HIV/AIDS, including PVOs, regional and local NGOs, universities and faith-based organizations. Funded activities will be consistent with USAID's goal of "increased use of improved, effective and sustainable responses to reduce HIV transmission and to mitigate the impact of the HIV/AIDS pandemic." |
