Foster parents needed

Durban MetroBeat. October/November 2003.
The Durban Children's Society is appealing to people who have the ability to offer secure and loving care to children abandoned and orphaned, as a result of HIV/AIDS, to act as foster or adoptive parents.

The number of orphaned HIV-positive babies is increasing rapidly, and poses the most serious and developmental challenge to the Durban Children's Society.

The Society prefers to place a child with a family instead of an institution; mainly due to the love and warmth a caring home can offer. Placing a child with a family gives the child a much-needed sense of security and well-being.

All that is needed is your willingnes, your time, love, openness and a balanced home routine. Ongoing support and guidance will be given to the foster parents by the Society.

Please contact Subashni Pillay at the Durban Children's Society on 031 3129313, if you want to make a child's dreams of a real home come true.
