Research on HIV/STD prevention messages: DHHS and NIH
|
The National Institute of Child Health and Human Development (NICHD), the National Institute of Nursing Research (NINR), the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH), and the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) invite qualified researchers to submit applications to study the creation, dissemination, and consumption of messages created to deter the spread of HIV.
This announcement invites research that will improve our understanding of how communication can best facilitate HIV prevention efforts.
It encourages studies that examine the interrelationships among various attributes of communication about HIV risk and prevention, and the consequences of communication for individuals, groups, and populations. It also seeks research that examines how people consume, understand, retain, and use or act upon information about HIV risk and prevention.
