Young orphans of AIDS housed at God's Golden Acre in Cato Ridge, KZN, will be performing in a special production at the Pietermaritzburg City Hall on Wednesday 2 October 2002 at 7 p.m.
The performers call themselves "The Young Zulu Warriors" and will present the story of God's Golden Acre in song and dance, with the proceeds of the concert going towards the orphanage's rural outreach programme.
The mission of God's Golden Acre is to give a child a home and a future, and it provides care for some 800 children, 70 of whom are living at the orphanage and the others living in the valleys surrounding Cato Ridge, struggling against poverty and malnutrition. Some children as young as eight years old are caring for dying parents and younger siblings as well.
Your support will help the orphanage to save the lives of many of these children in crisis. Tickets cost R25-00 for adults and R10-00 for children, and are available from Christine Jamal (Cell: 073 189 0156) or e-mail [email protected]. |
