AWMC and UNDP Manual for female journalists

Senegal's African Women's Media Centre (AWMC) has launched a comprehensive new manual to help women journalists report more effectively on HIV/AIDS.

Developed in partnership with the United Nations Development Programme(UNDP), the manual provides female journalists with practical tools and
resources for accurately reporting on the pandemic. The handbook also contains guidelines and tips, case studies, interviews with experienced journalists from Africa and other regions of the world who shared their
expertise, and information about workshops. A guide to the basics of good journalism - objectivity, accuracy, and news value is also included.

The manual is specifically designed for women, in an attempt to improve the representation of women on the continent and in the fight against HIV/AIDS in Africa.

Anyone interested in ordering a free copy of the manual can e-mail: [email protected]
