Art for Humanity

?
Overview

Art for Humanity (AfH), (previously Artists for Human Rights started in 1988), is a Durban based organisation. During 2000 AfH initiated the 'Break the Silence' HIV/AIDS Billboard and Portfolio campaign, advocating 'moral ownership' of the pandemic by society through art. AfH, through the 'Break the Silence' billboard campaign, aim to contribute to a South African cultural context which will favour sustainable interventions in the field of HIV/AIDS. Organisations and institutions active in HIV/AIDS, prevention, care and or advocacy are invited to exhibit the 'Break the Silence' portfolio or support the billboard program.
