Overview

The Gender Equity Unit (GEU) is responsible for conducting workshops and projects on gender sensitivity, sexuality, sexual harrasment and sexual violence at the University of Western Cape. GEU is also responsible for formulating and monitoring the University's gender policy. We participate in recruitment of staff to ensure employment equity. The GEU is committed towards transforming gender relations on campus and to provide safe and comfortable space for women in particular, lesbians and gay staff and students and physically challenged staff and students.
