Description: Professor Tim Quinlan joined Health Economics and HIV/AIDS Research Division as Research Director in 2002. He is an economic anthropologist by training, with a PhD from the University of Cape Town. He has worked extensively in the fields of enviromental management and traditional political authority. He brings to HEARD considerable experience in academic and applied research and training; notably, an understanding of desining and doing interdisciplinary research (and training)that is the foundation for multi-sectoral responses to the HIV/AIDS pandemic.
