| Through working in the development projects directly with the communities in the townships or rural villages, running youth clubs, creating awareness about HIV/AIDS and as organisors of various activities, the participants experience the reality of daily life in Southern Africa. These are life lessons that cannot come from a classroom - lessons learned through extended personal involvement, cemented with newly-formed friendships, and an understanding about teamwork. |
