HOPE Worldwide's office in Cato Manor, KwaZulu-Natal, is situated at the Cato Manor (Ekuphileni) Clinic and is supervised by the HOPE Worldwide office in Soweto. The project provides support and care for underprivileged people who are HIV-positive and their loved ones, using a model proven in Soweto.
The organisation focuses on providing pre- and post-test counselling, facilitating support groups for affected and infected people, making follow-up (home) visits to patient and mobilising community engagement by involving Community Health Workers in information dissemination and care.
The staff also organise marches together with the community to promote HIV/AIDS awareness and to break down stigma.
HIV/AIDS awareness programmes are run at various levels in the community. At clinic level, HOPE Worldwide addresses clients on a weekly basis on HIV/AIDS and STI Awareness.
In addition, HOPE runs training workshops for community members, including People Living With HIV/AIDS.
