?
Overview

The Amajuba Child Health & Well-Being Research Project (ACHWRP) is a collaborative effort between the Center for International Health and Development (CIHD) at the Boston University School of Public Health in the United States and the Health Economics and HIV/AIDS Research Division (HEARD) at the University of KwaZulu Natal in Durban. In October 2002, CIHD and HEARD were awarded a five-year grant from the National Institute of Child Health and Development (NICHD), an international scientific funding agency in the USA, to carry out research on the welfare of orphans in the Amajuba District of the Ukhahlamba region of KwaZulu-Natal. The ultimate goal of ACHWRP is to understand and improve the health and well-being of orphan children.
