King Edward VIII Hospital is the second largest hospital in South Africa. With 13 000 deliveries per annum, King Edward VIII Hospital has a bed status of 1 300 with about 3000 out patients a day. We provide a tertiary service for the entire province of KZN, part of Mpumalanga and Eastern Cape provinces. We are the main teaching hospital for the University of Natal?’s Nelson R Mandela Medical School.
